Tech startup unchain.io gaat samenwerken met KPN en Microsoft van het aanbieden voor een ‘Blockchain-as-a-service-stack’ met daarin The Blockchain Gateway van unchain.io.
KPN en unchain.io werken hierbij samen om een kant en klare combinatie van technologie als een service te leveren. De combinatie van de beproefde Microsoft Azure Stack op KPN’s Cloud vanuit haar Nederlandse data-centers met het blockchain integratie platform van unchain.io vormen samen een betrouwbaar platform om blockchain projecten daadwerkelijk te bouwen en ook uit te rollen.
Binnen KPN’s Blockchain-as-a-Service, gebaseerd op Microsoft’s Azure Stack (via KPN InternedServices) is een sterke focus op de uitbreiding van ‘distributed ledger/blockchain’ services als onderdeel van KPN Hybrid Cloud Services portfolio. Met een hoogwaardige cloud omgeving vanuit haar Nederlandse datacenters is KPN goed gepositioneerd voor blockchain projecten. De diensten van KPN zijn ook in Gartners Magic Quadrant erkend als sterke Niche Cloud offering for ‘Managed Hybrid Cloud Hosting, Europe’.

The Blockchain Gateway
The Blockchain Gateway van unchain.io is een hoogwaardig blockchain integratie platform, dat organisaties in staat stelt om op een schaalbare en veilige manier aan te sluiten op het blockchain netwerk van hun keuze. Na de publieke start van unchain.io in maart dit jaar, is haar product, The Blockchain Gateway, al in gebruik bij een geselecteerd aantal organisaties als onderdeel van het Early Access Program. De aankondiging van vandaag is het volgende resultaat voor de technologie van unchain.io, en de toegevoegde waarde ervan in combinatie met cloud services.
De annoncering is ook een belangrijk voorbeeld van unchain.io’s inspanningen voor het opbouwen van een ecosystem van betrouwbare technologie partners. Mede op basis van deze samenwerking bouwt unchain.io snel verder aan een internationaal netwerk om daarmee samen te werken en haar technologie in te zetten in blokchain initiatieven zoals Proofs of Concept (PoC), pilots en productienetwerken voor consortia-, enterprise- and overheidsinstellingen.
